We expanded research in SARI, particularly in influenza and other respiratory viruses. We developed an assessment of the degree of evidence of clinical practice guidelines in different respiratory infections. Proposals of recommendations on controversial issues using MDCA methodology has been developed. In lung transplant, we analyze cytokines in donors and reported a multicenter collaboration assessing ICU admissions by Acute Respiratory Failure. We participated in different research networks such as the IRI-ID and the SMART study, assessing pk/pD of antimicrobials. A new definition of respiratory infections in ventilated children has been incorporated for surveillance to VINCAT. Results of the multicenter international study on VAE was reported and a new multicenter study of VAE in pediatric ICUs was launched. Lastly, we are leading the research projects of WP5 in CIBERES regarding evidence-based medicine and guidelines in pneumonia. Several topics have been registered in PROSPERO.
