Group Leader: Joan Minguell Monyart

Our group has 6 lines of research: traumatic, bone septic disease, knee, hip, hand pathology and is incorporating a new shoulder pathology research line.

During 2019 our group has been working in different projects and collaborations in the different lines, having seven doctoral thesis in project.

We have consolidated collaborations with other VHIR research groups and national and international institutions. We have been awarded with national competitive project grants as Instituto de Salud Carlos III and different societies such as SECOT (Sociedad Española de Cirugía Ortopédica y Traumatológica) and SEROD (Sociedad Española de la Rodilla).

We want to emphasize the end of patient inclusion in Hip Attack trial with a total of 3000 patients, and our contribution with 300 patients, being the site with the highest recruitment. And highlight the New England Journal of Medicine publication of the results of the international randomized HEALTH trial. This fact has further strengthened our relationship with McMaster University of Canada.
